Position Highlights

Pool & Beach Attendant. In this active and essential guest-facing role, you serve as the caretaker of our premier outdoor relaxation areas. Your core purpose is to maintain the pristine condition of our pools and beachfront while providing courteous, proactive assistance to our guests. By managing the physical environment with quiet authority and a service-oriented mindset, you ensure a safe, welcoming, and seamless resort experience under the Aruban sun.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize pool and beach areas, including setting up lounge chairs, securing umbrellas, and assisting guests with seating.
• Maintain the immaculate appearance of the pool deck, walkways, and beach showers through regular sweeping, washing, and organization.
• Execute comprehensive daily pool maintenance, including vacuuming, skimming leaves, scrubbing tiles, and cleaning skimmers.
• Monitor and record precise pool chemical readings, treating the water strictly in accordance with safety and health standards.
• Inspect pump room equipment daily and maintain the operational cleanliness of all pool filters.
• Collect and securely store used towels, floats, and toys, ensuring the area remains tidy and hazard-free throughout all shifts.
• Manage waste disposal by efficiently emptying trash receptacles across the outdoor facilities daily.
• Address guest inquiries promptly, providing helpful information and maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

EPB education or equivalent. Candidates must possess a Dutch passport or a valid work permit. The role requires the physical stamina to safely lift 25–50 pounds, navigate uneven terrain, walk the property frequently, and work comfortably outdoors for extended periods.

Core Skills:

Full fluency in English, Spanish, Dutch, and Papiamento. A Basic Swimming Certificate is required. CPR and First Aid certifications, along with previous experience as a pool or beach attendant, are considered strong advantages.

Soft Skills:

A friendly, service-minded personality with excellent communication and multitasking abilities. Capable of anticipating guest needs and solving problems efficiently while working independently.

Excellence in this role is demonstrated by the consistent cleanliness, safety, and visual appeal of the pool and beach facilities. Success is measured by your strict adherence to pool chemical standards, your prompt and courteous guest interactions, and your proactive approach to maintaining a relaxing, organized outdoor environment.
