Privacy Policy

Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Aruba Jobs (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and services, including browsing job listings, creating a candidate or employer account, and applying for or posting jobs.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, and (for candidates) resume, work history, and profile details, or (for employers) company name, contact details, and job listing content. We also collect basic usage information, such as pages visited and general device/browser information, to help us operate and improve the site. If you allow it in our cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics and our own visitor count (statistics), and the Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag (marketing). See our Cookie Policy.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To let employers and candidates connect through job applications
- To send account-related notifications (e.g. application updates, digest emails)
- To maintain the security and proper functioning of the site
- To improve our services over time
Sharing Your Information
When a candidate applies to a job, the information in their profile and application is shared with the employer or recruiter who posted that listing. If you allow statistics or marketing cookies, Google, Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and LinkedIn receive information about your visits to Aruba Jobs, such as the pages you view and your device and browser, to measure the site and our advertising. They process it under their own privacy policies. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for the site to work, such as staying logged in and your cart. Statistics and marketing cookies are only used if you allow them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. See our Cookie Policy for every cookie we use.
Security Logs and Access Records
To keep Aruba Jobs safe, we record a short security log when someone logs in, fails to log in, signs up, asks for a password reset, uses two-step login, or when an account is deleted or its role is changed. Each entry contains the date and time, the type of event, the account involved (if any), the route used (for example the login page or our app), a general device type (for example “desktop”, “mobile” or “automated tool”) and a scrambled code derived from the internet address of the device.
We do not store the internet address itself, the full browser details, or the username or password that was typed in. The scrambled code cannot be turned back into an internet address; it only lets us see that several attempts came from the same source, for example during a password-guessing attack.
We use this information only to detect and investigate attacks, to protect accounts, and to explain security incidents. We do not use it for advertising or profiling. Only administrators responsible for security can access it.
We keep login and security events, and records of account creation, deletion and role changes, for 180 days.
To protect candidates’ data, we also record which Aruba Jobs account searched the candidate directory, opened a candidate profile, or opened or downloaded a CV or other private file, and when a data export was taken. For a search we record only how many results it returned and how it was filtered, never the words that were typed. An entry contains the date and time, the account that did it, the candidate concerned, and, for the first six months, the same general device type and scrambled code as above; it contains no name, email address, phone number or file content. Candidates looking at their own information are not recorded. We may use these audit records to investigate security, privacy, misuse, or access-related concerns and to meet applicable legal obligations. We keep them for 365 days; the device type and scrambled code are removed after 180 days.
Data Retention
We retain account and application data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide our services and comply with legal obligations.
Your Rights
You can access, update, or delete most of your personal information directly from your account dashboard at any time. To request a full copy or deletion of your data, contact us using the details below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
