Position Highlights

As the Assistant Head Bartender, you will perform a vital role in elevating daily beverage operations and the overall guest experience. Working in an engaging and supportive environment, you will take ownership of staff management, inventory control, and service quality, ensuring that all bar activities run flawlessly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bar operations, monitor staff performance and attendance, and conduct pre-shift meetings to ensure exceptional service delivery.
• Manage beverage costs, establish stock pars, and conduct monthly inventories of both beverages and working equipment.
• Train, coach, and orient new and existing employees on standard operating procedures and performance expectations.
• Engage directly with guests to inquire about beverage quality and follow Alcohol Awareness guidelines to manage a safe and welcoming environment.
• Ensure workstations remain clean, equipment functions optimally, and daily food and beverage checklists are accurately maintained.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements

Candidates must hold an EPI/MBO Diploma or have a minimum of five years of experience as a bartender, alongside a formal Bartender Diploma. Applicants must be 25 years of age or older, possess a valid health card, and hold a Dutch passport or a valid work permit. Full professional fluency in English, Spanish, and Dutch is strictly required to communicate effectively within our diverse resort environment.

Core Skills

Essential capabilities include comprehensive bar management, from establishing stock pars to developing recipe lists for the most popular drinks. Strong administrative abilities are necessary, including great computer skills, processing employee payroll forms, and managing work orders with the engineering department. A strict adherence to food safety and HACCP guidelines is required to maintain operational excellence.

Soft Skills

The ideal professional is highly service-oriented and possesses excellent suggestive upselling techniques. We are seeking a responsive and detail-oriented leader who can seamlessly manage staff relations, accept employee feedback, and maintain composure while upholding hotel policies and resolving guest inquiries.
