About this skill
Confident everyday use of a computer: operating systems, files and folders, email, web browsers and learning new software or company systems quickly.
For candidates
Name the systems you use comfortably: Windows or Mac, email, shared drives, online forms, and any company systems such as a hotel or retail system. Saying how quickly you learned your last new system is useful evidence.
For employers
Say what people will actually use in the job, for example "email, a booking system and Excel for simple lists". That is clearer and fairer than "computer literate".
How matching works
Matching is most reliable when both the profile and job listing use this same skill and any expected proficiency is set accurately.
