Position Highlights

PM Engineer. As a vital technical presence during our evening operations, your core purpose is to ensure the continuous comfort and safety of our guests. You serve as a proactive problem-solver, maintaining resort infrastructure and addressing guest maintenance requests with professional poise and technical precision. This role is essential for maintaining the high operational standards that define the Divi guest experience during the second shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance calls from guests and various resort departments.
• Perform essential maintenance in guest rooms and public areas, including electrical systems, plumbing, and air conditioning units.
• Program television systems and manage engineering-related inventory duties.
• Operate and monitor electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and water systems to ensure peak performance.
• Maintain a meticulous daily logbook of all work performed and tasks completed during the shift.
• Facilitate a professional handover to the incoming shift to ensure continuity of care and operational stability.
• Document guest complaints at the engineering control desk and inform leadership of recurring issues for permanent resolution.
• Manage and resolve guest requests courteously, ensuring high satisfaction with every technical interaction.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

EPI Diploma or an equivalent technical certification with at least 2 years of experience in a similar resort or industrial maintenance position. Must possess a Dutch passport or a valid Aruban work permit. Flexibility to work consistent PM (evening) shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Core Skills:

Demonstrable expertise in electrical work, plumbing, painting, and drywall repair. Strong computer proficiency for logging tasks and communication. Full fluency in English and Spanish; knowledge of Dutch is highly valued for professional coordination.

Soft Skills:

A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently. Professional composure and a service-minded approach when interacting with international guests.

Success Metrics

Consistently high guest satisfaction scores related to room maintenance and response times. Demonstrated accuracy and detail in daily logbook entries and shift handovers. Sustained uptime of critical room systems through proactive troubleshooting and effective evening repairs.
