Position Highlights
PM Engineer. Working the PM shift from the engineering control desk, your core purpose is to resolve maintenance issues quickly and to the guest's satisfaction. You will handle electrical, plumbing and air-conditioning work in guest rooms and public areas, keep the shift logbook, delegate to technicians and hand over clearly to the next shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance calls from guests and other departments, resolving matters to the guest's satisfaction
- Perform maintenance in guest rooms and public areas, including electrical equipment, plumbing and air conditioning
- Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering inventory duties
- Understand and operate electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and water systems
- Solve problems and make repairs effectively and efficiently
- Maintain a daily logbook of work done during the shift and give a proper handover to the next shift
- Delegate duties to Engineering supervisors and other technicians
- Enter all guest and back-of-house complaints at the engineering control desk as soon as they are received
- Inform Leaders of recurring complaints so they can be fixed permanently
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
EPI diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience in a similar position. Can understand and speak English, Spanish and Dutch. Able to work the PM shift.
Core Skills:
Demonstrable electrical experience and current working knowledge of general maintenance and engineering. Experience with electrical, plumbing, painting and drywall. Good computer skills.
Soft Skills:
Courteous and prompt with guests. Organized in logging work, delegating and handing over between shifts.
Success Metrics
PM shift maintenance calls are answered promptly and resolved, every complaint is logged, recurring problems are escalated, and the next shift receives a clear handover.
