Position Highlights

Night Auditor. As the analytical backbone of our overnight operations, your core purpose is to ensure the financial integrity of the resort’s daily transactions. You balance the complex intersection of accounting precision and guest service, reconciling daily activity while providing a professional and welcoming presence for guests during the late-night hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit and reconcile daily financial activity across various departments, including food and beverage, banquet charges, and miscellaneous accounts.
• Prepare and balance daily flash reports and room statistics to ensure accurate data for management review.
• Execute the end-of-day closing process with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Manage front desk operations overnight, including handling guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations with professional poise.
• Reconcile telephone calls, vendor activity, and closed checks to ensure all revenue is properly captured.
• Resolve any accounting discrepancies discovered during the audit process promptly and accurately.
• Maintain the security of resort banks and perform periodic key inventories.
• Prepare necessary documentation and reports to ensure a seamless transition for the morning shift.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

MAVO or EPI diploma. A minimum of 2 years of front desk experience is preferred, along with prior cashiering experience. Must possess a Dutch passport or a valid Aruban work permit. Flexibility to work consistent overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Core Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and standard hospitality property management systems. Strong mathematical and reconciliation skills. Full fluency in English, Spanish, and Dutch to effectively support our international and local clientele.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset. A professional, friendly demeanor with the ability to work independently and maintain composure in a quiet, high-stakes environment.

Success Metrics

Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in the completion of daily flash reports and financial audits. Consistently clean reconciliations with minimal discrepancies reported. Maintained high standards of guest service and security during overnight operations.
