Position Highlights

Human Resources Manager. Serving as a strategic business partner to resort leadership, you will oversee all Human Resources functions for Divi Resorts. In this comprehensive leadership role, you will direct talent acquisition, labor relations, employee development, payroll oversight, and workforce compliance while cultivating a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with resort leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals, annual budgeting, and workforce planning
• Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes while ensuring compliance with work permit and immigration requirements
• Provide coaching to leadership, manage employee relations cases, conduct investigations, and facilitate grievance resolution
• Oversee performance evaluation cycles, coaching, and learning and development programs to foster internal career growth
• Direct payroll administration, audit documentation, and monitor compensation and benefits programs for accuracy and competitiveness
• Ensure full compliance with local Aruba labor legislation, maintain confidential records, and represent the resort in labor-related proceedings
• Manage relationships with labor unions, participate in collective bargaining negotiations, and ensure adherence to collective labor agreements
• Design and execute employee recognition, wellness, and engagement initiatives to support staff satisfaction and retention
• Conduct property walkthroughs to maintain leadership visibility, accessibility, and strong connections across all resort departments

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably within the hospitality industry. Previous experience working in a unionized environment is preferred. Must hold a Dutch passport or a valid work permit. Full professional fluency in Papiamento, English, Spanish, and Dutch is required. Professional HR certification is considered an asset.

Core Skills:

In-depth knowledge of Aruba labor legislation, employment practices, and collective bargaining agreements. Proven expertise across full-cycle recruitment, labor relations, payroll administration, compensation/benefits, and performance management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).

Soft Skills:

Strong strategic leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities. Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills across all organizational levels. Excellent conflict resolution, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High degree of confidentiality, sound judgment, and detail orientation under pressure.

Success Metrics

HR operations, payroll oversight, and statutory compliance consistently meet or exceed local legal and contractual standards. Recruitment and workforce planning strategies effectively fulfill resort operational needs. High employee engagement, retention, and positive workplace morale across all property departments.
