Position Highlights
F&B Server. Serving guests throughout the day, your core purpose is to deliver attentive, well-paced restaurant service to the resort's standards. You will set up and stock your station, greet and seat guests, take orders with suggestive selling, serve wine and coffee specialties and check that every guest is satisfied.
Key Responsibilities
- Check your station before service and set tables according to standards
- Set up sugar bowls, creamers, and the coffee and self-service coffee stations
- Set up linen and linen hamper and trash cans, and stock glassware, china, flatware, ice and water pitchers
- Check par stock and inform the Supervisor
- Courteously greet and seat guests, and assist the hostess with seating when necessary
- Take orders promptly and suggestively sell items from the menu
- Prepare espresso, cappuccino and iced tea, and serve wine according to standards
- Clear plates, check that everything is satisfactory, and provide proper service for breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Clean the coffee machine and maintain carpets and floors, wiping spills immediately
- Be familiar with the property's fire and emergency program
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
MAVO high school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of experience as a busser/runner. Fluent in English, Spanish and Dutch. Able to work different shifts. Must have a valid Health Card. Must hold a Dutch passport or a valid work permit.
Core Skills:
Restaurant table service for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Station set-up and stock control. Wine and coffee service. Suggestive selling.
Soft Skills:
Service oriented with a pleasant personality. Strong attention to detail and flexible about shifts.
Success Metrics
Stations are fully set and stocked before service, orders are taken and served promptly, guests are checked on and satisfied, and dining areas stay clean and safe.
