Position Highlights
Activities Coordinator. As a friendly face of the resort's entertainment program, your core purpose is to give guests an enjoyable, well-organized and safe activity schedule. You will post and set up the daily activities, run orientations, games, tournaments and pool games, socialize with guests and keep the Entertainment center and equipment in good condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Place all daily activities accurately on the Activity Board
- Set up activity equipment and supplies before each event, and set up and break down games and sports
- Keep the Entertainment center clean and orderly at all times
- Set up, conduct and break down orientations as scheduled, considering all guests' needs
- Provide maps and directions to guests, and comply with arrival and departure duty according to procedures
- Coordinate tournaments and games, and organize pool games while maintaining high safety standards
- Float and socialize with guests, soliciting comments and inquiring about their satisfaction while following hotel rules
- Maintain the sound system in optimal condition
- Do weekly inventories in your area of responsibility and attend departmental meetings
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
High school diploma; experience is preferred but not required. Must have a swimming diploma. Valid First Aid and CPR certification preferred. Fluent in English, Spanish and Dutch. Must hold a Dutch passport or a valid work permit.
Core Skills:
Planning and running guest activities, games and tournaments. Activity set-up and equipment care, including the sound system. Pool activity safety. Weekly inventory of activity supplies.
Soft Skills:
Great people skills and a service-oriented, engaging personality. Respectful and professional when socializing with guests.
Success Metrics
The Activity Board is always accurate, activities start on time with equipment ready, and games and pool activities run safely. Guests are engaged and satisfied, and the Entertainment center and equipment stay clean and in good condition.
