About this skill

Planning and running events such as weddings, meetings and functions: timelines, suppliers, set-up, on-the-day coordination and close-out.

For candidates

List events by type and size: a 150-guest beach wedding, a three-day conference, weekly banquets. Say what you owned: the timeline, suppliers, the budget, the on-the-day running. Photos of set-ups you designed make a good portfolio.

For employers

Say whether the role sells events, plans them or runs them on the day; many listings mix the three. Ask candidates to walk you through an event that went wrong and what they did. Event work rarely goes to plan, and that answer shows it.

How matching works

Matching is most reliable when both the profile and job listing use this same skill and any expected proficiency is set accurately.
