Position Highlights
Beach Waiter. Operating within the renowned Passions on the Beach environment, your core purpose is to deliver a sophisticated and seamless dining experience directly on the sands of Eagle Beach. You serve as an essential host, combining technical food and beverage proficiency with a professional, understated presence to ensure our guests enjoy the highest standards of service in a unique outdoor setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive and professional food and beverage service to guests on the beach and at Passions on the Beach.
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and offer expert recommendations based on current offerings.
- Accurately record and process orders using the ALOHA point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely delivery and high presentation standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the beach dining area throughout the shift.
- Assist with the professional setup and breakdown of beach service equipment and furniture.
- Monitor guest needs consistently, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and “quiet authority” in service delivery.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental “Green” policies of the resort.
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
Previous experience as a waiter or server in a high-standard hospitality environment. Physical stamina to work effectively on sand and in a warm, outdoor beach setting. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Core Skills:
Proficiency in English, Spanish, and Papiamento; knowledge of Dutch is a significant asset. Experience with POS systems (ALOHA preferred). Ability to carry service trays professionally in a beach environment.
Soft Skills:
An optimistic and service-driven personality. Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to team collaboration and professional reliability.
Success Metrics
Consistently high guest satisfaction ratings for beach-side service quality. Demonstrated accuracy in order processing and financial transactions. Efficient management of the beach dining environment, maintaining a pristine and organized atmosphere during peak hours.
