Position Highlights

Human Resources Manager. As a strategic partner to resort leadership at Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort, your core purpose is to lead every HR function and build a positive, compliant workplace. You will oversee talent acquisition, employee and labor relations, performance and development, compensation, benefits and payroll, compliance and engagement programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with resort leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives, develop HR policies and programs, and take part in budgeting and workforce planning
  • Analyze workforce trends and recommend actions on staffing, retention and succession planning
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, and ensure compliance with work permit and immigration requirements
  • Foster a positive, inclusive culture, coach managers and employees, and manage employee relations cases, investigations, grievances, counseling, disciplinary meetings and exit interviews
  • Oversee performance evaluations, support corrective action and development planning, and coordinate training and career development programs
  • Oversee payroll for accuracy and compliance, approve and audit payroll documentation, and support salary reviews and competitive benefits
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies, maintain confidential employee records, and represent the resort in labor hearings and legal proceedings
  • Manage relationships with labor unions and employee representatives, and participate in collective bargaining and dispute resolution
  • Develop recognition, wellness and engagement programs, coordinate employee events, and monitor employee satisfaction
  • Support workplace safety initiatives and partner with Security and Operations on employee-related incidents
  • Conduct regular property walkthroughs, attend management meetings, and stay current with HR trends and employment legislation

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field preferred. Minimum 3–5 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in hospitality. Strong knowledge of Aruba labor legislation and employment practices. Experience in a unionized environment preferred. Fluent in Papiamento, English, Spanish and Dutch. Professional HR certification is an asset. Must hold a Dutch passport or a valid work permit.

Core Skills:

Recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, training and development, payroll practices and performance management. Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS. Organizational and project management skills.

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership, team development, coaching and counseling skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, sound judgment and confidentiality, strong conflict resolution and decision-making, and a commitment to a positive employee experience.

Success Metrics
