Position Highlights

Retail Operations Assistant – Part-time. Supporting the golf shop part-time, your core purpose is to keep inventory accurate, merchandise well presented and member records up to date. You will run inventory counts and restocking, receive and tag merchandise, maintain member accounts and promotions, serve members and guests, and support tournaments and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly physical inventory counts and maintain accurate operating inventory records
• Monitor stock levels, initiate restocking, track fast- and slow-moving items, and investigate and report discrepancies
• Keep the stockroom and displays organized, maintain visual merchandising standards, and assist with pricing updates and markdowns
• Receive and inspect shipments, verify merchandise against purchase orders and invoices, and tag, label and enter new items into the inventory system
• Coordinate with management on shortages or damaged goods and document all received merchandise
• Maintain and update member accounts and records, and support member promotions and loyalty initiatives
• Provide friendly, professional service to members and guests
• Support tournaments, club events and promotional activities
• Maintain inventory and vendor records, support cost control by monitoring stock levels and shrinkage, and assist management with operational planning

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

MAVO or MBO work and thinking level. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position; previous retail or inventory experience preferred. Fluent in English, Spanish, Dutch and Papiamento. Able to manage multiple tasks within a part-time schedule. Must hold a Dutch passport or a valid work permit.

Core Skills:

Inventory counts, receiving and stock control. Proficient in POS and inventory systems. Member account administration. Excellent computer skills and strong organizational and administrative skills.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication skills and customer oriented. Detail oriented and organized.

Success Metrics

Inventory records match physical counts, merchandise is received and tagged accurately, stock levels support sales, member records are up to date, and members and guests receive excellent service.
