Position Highlights

Night Audit Supervisor. Leading the night audit team, your core purpose is to make sure every night closes accurately and the Front Desk runs correctly overnight. You will oversee night auditors, audit cashier work, reconcile accounts and statistics, verify reports and flash figures, check front desk procedures and report discrepancies to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all night auditors are at their stations on time, meet with them at least monthly and send notes to the Controller
• Ensure check-ins, walk-in registrations, VIP check-ins, room changes and reservations are handled correctly according to procedures
• Adjust outside vendor activity, and ensure telephone calls and miscellaneous accounts are reconciled
• Audit F&B and room cashiers' work, ensure deposit discrepancies are reported, and ensure the cashier drop sheet is filled in properly
• Ensure room statistics are correct, remaining arrivals are accounted for in the PMS, and rooms available to sell are checked
• Print the admin ledger balance and verify current and past folios are zero
• Ensure miscellaneous charges, correction and adjustment vouchers and paid-outs are signed off and handled correctly
• Ensure guest complaints, mail, faxes, messages and Lost and Found are handled according to procedures
• Count night auditors' banks periodically and report discrepancies to the Assistant Controller and Controller
• Ensure morning reports, the daily report and the daily flash are complete and accurate before distribution
• Assist or perform night audit duties when needed, and carry out regular spot checks at other properties

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

HAVO or EPI diploma with 2 years of experience as a supervisor. Fluent in English, Spanish and Dutch.

Core Skills:

Night audit procedures, reconciliation and daily reporting. Supervision of night auditors and Front Desk procedures. Proficient in Microsoft 365.

Soft Skills:

Organized and detail oriented. Works independently and handles information with confidentiality.

Success Metrics

Every night audit closes accurately and on time, reports and flash figures are correct, discrepancies are identified and reported, and overnight Front Desk procedures are followed.
