Position Highlights

Electrician. As a critical member of our engineering team, your core purpose is to maintain the technical stability and safety of our resort infrastructure. You serve as a technical expert, ensuring that all electrical systems, from guest room lighting to heavy industrial motors, function with precision and reliability. Your expertise contributes directly to the seamless operation of our world-class facilities and the continuous comfort of our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all repairs and maintenance related to electrical wiring, lighting, and power distribution systems.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to guest complaints and departmental requests involving electrical issues.
• Execute complex troubleshooting to resolve problematic electrical or mechanical situations as they arise.
• Install, test, and replace electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Maintain all professional tools, equipment, and workspaces in safe, orderly, and good condition.
• Ensure that all work adheres to local electrical codes and resort safety ordinances.
• Assist with the maintenance and repair of electrical motors and related mechanical systems.
• Provide a clear and technical overview of completed tasks to engineering leadership.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

High school diploma plus an EPI Diploma or an equivalent technical certification. Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar electrical role within a hospitality or industrial setting. Must possess a Dutch Passport or a valid Aruban work permit.

Core Skills:

Deep understanding of electrical principles and local codes. Demonstrable expertise in troubleshooting electrical/mechanical motors. Proficiency in English and Spanish; knowledge of Dutch is highly valued for professional coordination.

Soft Skills:

A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently. Professional composure and a service-minded approach when interacting with international guests.

Success Metrics

Technical systems and electrical circuits maintain optimal uptime through proactive maintenance. Demonstrated accuracy and safety in all electrical installations and repairs. Consistently positive feedback from guests and departments regarding technical response times and professional conduct.
