Position Highlights

Bellman. In this highly visible guest service role, you serve as the first point of contact, welcoming international visitors with professional poise and quiet authority. You are responsible for ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience by managing luggage logistics and providing essential resort information with meticulous attention to detail. In this position, you contribute to the operational stability of the front office while maintaining the high standards of warmth and excellence that define the Divi Resorts brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Escort guests to their rooms and deliver luggage efficiently according to resort standards.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the lobby, hotel entrance, and luggage carts throughout the shift.
• Provide accurate and helpful information regarding hotel features, safety protocols, and guest services.
• Demonstrate the use of in-room amenities, including air-conditioning, safes, and television systems.
• Assist with guest transportation needs and coordinate luggage loading/unloading with the doorman.
• Manage the secure storage and return of guest luggage following established procedures.
• Promptly deliver messages, letters, and special deliveries to guest rooms and log all activities accurately.
• Proactively identify and report any guest dissatisfaction or maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

Candidates must possess a MAVO High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. A valid Dutch passport or a work permit for Aruba is required. This role requires a strong physical condition to handle active shifts and luggage management.

Core Skills:

Fluency in English, Spanish, and Dutch is essential for guest communication. Proven ability to multitask and work independently within a fast-paced resort environment.

Soft Skills:

A service-oriented and pleasant personality with a focus on organizational precision. High degree of reliability and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.

Success Metrics

Excellence in this role is defined by the efficiency and warmth of the guest welcome and the seamless delivery of all luggage and guest messages. Success is measured by the consistent cleanliness of the lobby areas, positive guest feedback regarding your professional assistance, and your ability to represent the resort’s standards with quiet authority and poise.
