Position Highlights

A/C Technician. As a specialized and highly skilled technical professional, your core purpose is to ensure the optimal performance of all refrigeration, cooling, and heating systems across the property. You will utilize advanced troubleshooting and mechanical expertise to fabricate, repair, and maintain vital air quality and climate control infrastructure, directly supporting a comfortable and seamless experience for our guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and install structural and functional components of refrigeration systems using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment 
• Dismantle malfunctioning systems, test components, and troubleshoot using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment
• Perform mechanical overhauls, execute refrigerant reclaiming, and adjust or replace worn and defective mechanisms
• Braze, solder, and insulate components to repair joints and leaks, observing and testing system operations with precision gauges and instruments
• Read blueprints to determine component locations, sizes, and capacities, and install wiring to connect systems to electric power sources
• Cut, bend, thread, and connect pipes to functional components across water, power, and refrigeration systems
• Adjust valves according to specifications and charge systems with the proper type of refrigerant
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs, replacements, and the root causes of system malfunctions

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

An EPB Techniek diploma is required, while an MBO or EPI graduation is highly preferred. Must possess at least 2 years of proven experience in A/C and refrigeration, supported by specific coursework in the field. Requires a Dutch Passport or a valid work permit. Strong physical condition is necessary to handle the active demands of the role.

Core Skills:

Extensive knowledge in repairing different types of A/C, cooling, and heating systems. Advanced troubleshooting abilities and a solid understanding of Indoor Air Quality standards. Proficient in detecting damages and malfunctions, with basic computer skills for record-keeping. Fluent communication capabilities in both Papiamento and English.

Soft Skills:

Highly service-oriented and a collaborative team player.

Success Metrics

Refrigeration, cooling, and heating systems operate reliably and efficiently, minimizing downtime. Malfunctions are accurately diagnosed and resolved using proper troubleshooting techniques. Maintenance records, system tests, and refrigerant charges are consistently documented and executed to exact specifications.
