Position Highlights

Catamaran Crew. In this essential role based at our activity center in front of the Hyatt Regency Resort, you serve as a critical member of our sailing operations. Your core purpose is to deliver the highest standard of safety and hospitality on the water, assisting the Captain with vessel maneuvers while acting as a primary host for our international guests. You contribute to the professional stability of our tours by ensuring every snorkeling trip and sunset cruise is executed with technical precision and genuine warmth.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Captain with vessel maneuvers, anchoring, and secure docking procedures.
• Manage professional guest boarding and provide detailed safety briefings before departure.
• Act as a primary host during snorkeling trips, ensuring guest safety in the water and providing assistance with gear.
• Facilitate food and beverage service during sunset cruises with a focus on professional poise.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the catamaran to maintain our rigorous standards of presentation.
• Monitor guest well-being and environmental conditions to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.
• Collaborate with the shoreside team to ensure seamless tour transitions and equipment readiness.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

Excellent swimming skills and a high level of comfort working in a marine environment. Full fluency in English, Dutch, and Spanish (speaking). Strong physical stamina for performing manual labor on a moving vessel. Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays and availability to be on call after office hours.

Core Skills:

Basic knowledge of sailing techniques, vessel maintenance, and maritime safety protocols. Familiarity with local reefs and coastal landmarks. Valid First Aid and CPR certifications are considered a significant advantage.

Soft Skills:

A proactive, guest-centric approach characterized by quiet authority. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented attitude.
