Position Highlights

Concierge / Front Desk Agent. Serving as a vital ambassador of the resort, you will create seamless, warm, and highly personalized guest experiences from pre-arrival through departure. In this dual-function front-of-house role, you will handle professional arrival and departure services, coordinate bespoke island activities, anticipate guest needs, and resolve inquiries with resourcefulness and quiet authority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and deliver professional check-in and check-out services in accordance with Forbes Travel Guide luxury standards
  • Curate and coordinate personalized island experiences, including fine dining reservations, private transportation, car rentals, excursions, and special celebration arrangements
  • Anticipate guest needs proactively, providing knowledgeable and tailored recommendations regarding resort amenities and Aruba’s attractions
  • Respond promptly, accurately, and courteously to guest calls, emails, and in-person requests
  • Recognize returning guests, note personal preferences, and acknowledge milestone occasions to deliver customized service
  • Handle guest inquiries and service recovery opportunities with empathy, urgency, and diligent follow-up
  • Maintain accurate guest profiles, reservation details, billing folios, and internal communication logs within hotel management systems
  • Prepare arrival amenities, personalized welcome packages, room key sets, and specialty cards
  • Support VIP visits, travel agent site inspections, guest orientations, and special resort events
  • Collaborate closely across departments—including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Reservations—to ensure seamless operational delivery
  • Promote resort experiences and wellness activities through confident, consultative recommendations

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:
Degree in Hospitality Management or at least 1 year of relevant hospitality experience; prior background in concierge, front desk, or luxury guest services is preferred. Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one additional European language (preferably German or Italian); knowledge of Dutch, Spanish, or Papiamento is highly valued. Working knowledge of hotel property management systems (PMS), with experience in Opera and ALICE considered a distinct advantage. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Ability to complete pre-employment drug screening in accordance with the resort’s drug- and smoke-free workplace policy. Applicants must hold valid legal authorization to work in Aruba.
Core Skills:
Front desk reception operations, concierge itinerary planning, and luxury customer service standards. Hospitality software navigation (Opera PMS, ALICE concierge platform) and general computer proficiency. Consultative destination sales abilities with comprehensive knowledge of Aruba’s culinary, cultural, and recreational offerings.

Warm, articulate, and naturally hospitable demeanor with a talent for genuine interpersonal connection. High emotional intelligence, intuition, and composure when navigating fast-paced or unforeseen situations. Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities with rigorous attention to detail.

Success Metrics

Guest arrivals, departures, and concierge arrangements are executed smoothly and in strict alignment with Forbes Travel Guide standards. Guest profiles, billing folios, and activity bookings are maintained with meticulous accuracy. Inquiries and service recovery situations are handled promptly with positive guest satisfaction feedback.
