Position Highlights
As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform a vital role in ensuring that the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and systems remain well-maintained, safe, and fully operational. Working in an engaging and supportive environment, you will troubleshoot issues and perform essential repairs to provide a consistently comfortable and inviting atmosphere for both guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks across all areas of the hotel property.
- Ensure all resort facilities, equipment, and structural systems remain safe, well-maintained, and flawlessly operational at all times.
- Maintain a comfortable and inviting environment for all guests and team members through efficient and effective service delivery.
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with vocational or technical training in maintenance or a related field highly preferred. Previous experience in maintenance or a similar role is required, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment. Full professional fluency in English, Dutch, Spanish, and Papiamento is strictly required to communicate effectively within our diverse resort setting.
Core Skills
Essential capabilities include a strong fundamental knowledge of standard maintenance practices and property systems. Candidates must demonstrate practical expertise in troubleshooting and executing repairs related to plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, and general carpentry to ensure continuous operational stability.
Soft Skills
The ideal professional is proactive, reliable, and capable of working seamlessly both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Furthermore, flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required to support continuous resort operations and prompt issue resolution.
Success Metrics
Excellence in this role is demonstrated by minimal equipment downtime, prompt resolution of maintenance issues, and positive feedback regarding the comfort and safety of the resort environment.
