Position Highlights
General Manager. As our operational and strategic lead, your core purpose is to drive the success of both Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort and MVC. This hands-on leadership role requires a balance of high-level business planning, financial oversight, and active guest engagement, ensuring our resorts remain leaders in quality, culture, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall operations of Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort and MVC, ensuring consistent excellence
- Develop and execute comprehensive business plans that drive growth, revenue, and profitability
- Inspire and mentor department leaders to build a culture of accountability and professional growth
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences through operational excellence and highly personalized service
- Oversee financial performance, including revenue management, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to strengthen brand positioning and commercial outcomes
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, sustainability, and operational standards
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with guests, local business partners, and the community
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A minimum of 15 years of senior hotel management experience is essential, with proven success leading full-service hotel or resort operations. Must be fluent in English and Dutch.
Core Skills:
Extensive experience in financial management, budgeting, revenue management, and strategic planning. Comprehensive operational knowledge of Food and Beverage departments. Caribbean hospitality market knowledge is considered a distinct advantage.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people development capabilities. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Flexible and adaptable to travel and varying operational needs.
Success Metrics
Strategic objectives are met through clear execution and growth in profitability. Department leaders show measurable development in accountability and service delivery. Guest satisfaction scores and brand positioning remain high, supported by stable operational and financial management.
