Position Highlights
Cook 2. In this essential culinary role, you are the hands behind the exceptional meals our guests enjoy, from their first breakfast bite to their final dinner on the beach. Your core purpose is to accurately execute established recipes and support the daily rhythm of our kitchen with consistency, passion, and timely service to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals for daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
- Execute all recipes accurately, adhering strictly to resort culinary standards, presentation guidelines, and portion controls.
- Support the daily operations of the kitchen, providing reliable assistance to senior chefs and the broader culinary team.
- Maintain a clean, highly organized, and sanitary workstation throughout every shift.
- Ensure all food preparation meets rigorous health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with the front-of-house food and beverage team to guarantee timely guest service.
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
Formal culinary education (EPI Hospitality & Tourism or equivalent) or proven practical experience as a line cook. Full fluency in English; knowledge of Papiamento, Dutch, or Spanish is an asset. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Core Skills:
Solid understanding of basic cooking methods, ingredients, and commercial kitchen equipment. Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure in a high-volume culinary environment.
Soft Skills:
Strong commitment to teamwork and respectful communication within a multicultural kitchen. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and consistency.
Success Metrics
Demonstrated consistency in recipe execution and food quality standards. Maintained high cleanliness and organization ratings for assigned workstations. Positive collaboration feedback from senior culinary leadership and front-of-house teams.
