Position Highlights

Cafeteria Cook / Attendant. In this essential role, you are the heart of our associate dining experience. Your core purpose is to prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for our resort staff, ensuring our team remains energized and supported throughout their shifts. By maintaining an impeccably clean and welcoming cafeteria environment, you contribute directly to the professional community and morale that define the Divi Resorts experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold meals for the employee cafeteria following established recipes and quality standards.
• Disinfect and sanitize all food preparation surfaces, serving lines, and kitchen equipment daily.
• Wash, peel, and portion fresh ingredients to ensure efficient meal service and minimize operational waste.
• Maintain accurate food logs and monitor the quality and temperature of all items served.
• Set up and break down the cafeteria service stations, ensuring all areas are stocked and organized.
• Conserve food items by utilizing all products and by-products effectively to prevent waste.
• Communicate with the culinary leadership team regarding supply needs and inventory levels.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, HACCP guidelines, and resort-wide security policies.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

Completed EPB Kitchen Certificate or basic food production training. Must possess a valid Health Card and have the legal right to work in Aruba (Dutch Passport or valid work permit). Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Core Skills:

Multilingual proficiency in English, Spanish, Dutch, and Papiamento to support our diverse associate community. Fundamental knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and industrial hygiene standards.

Soft Skills:

A friendly and service-oriented personality. Strong multitasking abilities with a commitment to professional reliability and “quiet authority.”

Success is measured by consistent adherence to food safety protocols and the maintenance of a pristine cafeteria environment.
