Position Highlights
Steward. As a dedicated and efficient culinary support professional, your core purpose is to ensure the impeccable cleanliness and organization of our kitchen operations. You will manage dish stations, operate cleaning equipment, and maintain strict hygiene standards, working steadily to support the culinary team in a fast-paced and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up dish stations and properly start up dish cleaning machines at the beginning of service
- Load and unload dishes from dish machines efficiently and safely
- Wash and fully sanitize all pans and utensils that come into contact with food
- Scrape and clear food from dishes, pans, and equipment prior to washing
- Keep the entire kitchen environment consistently clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
An EPB Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Flexible working hours are required to seamlessly support dynamic kitchen operations.
Core Skills:
A practical, working understanding of English, Spanish, and Papiamento is required. Strong foundational knowledge of food safety, hygiene protocols, and temperature standards.
Soft Skills:
Able to maintain a steady pace and stay composed, friendly, and highly professional under pressure. Polite, reliable, and deeply team-oriented.
Success Metrics
Dish stations and kitchen areas are maintained with exceptional cleanliness and organization throughout the shift. Dish cleaning machines are operated safely and efficiently, ensuring a constant supply of sanitized pans, utensils, and dishes for the culinary team. Hygiene and temperature standards are strictly and consistently met.
