Study, qualify & intern

Qualifications explained, studying in the Netherlands or elsewhere, internships and courses.

How internships work

The six things to keep with a qualification, in order, beside the study and internship routes in Aruba, the Netherlands and elsewhere.Describe your qualification as it was awarded.: Credential, as awarded — Diploma Hoger Algemeen Voortgezet Onderwijs (HAVO) — The exact title on the certificate. Do not translate it into another system's name. Awarded by — A school or university — Name the institution. Recognition and accreditation belong to it, not to the country. System and country — Aruba, secondary education (HAVO) — Where you studied and the system the diploma belongs to can be different. Field and year — Economics profile, 2024 — What you specialised in and when you finished. Comparison or credential evaluation, only if verified — Nuffic diploma comparison: compared with HAVO, with its date — Name the published Nuffic diploma comparison, or the credential evaluation you hold, and its date. It gives information about how the diploma compares with Dutch qualifications; it does not decide admission or hiring. If you have neither, leave it blank. Evidence you can show — Certificate and transcript — What a reader can ask to see. Education: Aruba to the Netherlands: Plan the study move, before the move. The US and elsewhere: Different system, same four questions. Internship / Stage: In Aruba: Turn your studies into experience. Coming to Aruba: An Aruba internship starts with a plan. Describe your qualification as it was awarded.

  • Credential, as awarded — Diploma Hoger Algemeen Voortgezet Onderwijs (HAVO) — The exact title on the certificate. Do not translate it into another system's name.
  • Awarded by — A school or university — Name the institution. Recognition and accreditation belong to it, not to the country.
  • System and country — Aruba, secondary education (HAVO) — Where you studied and the system the diploma belongs to can be different.
  • Field and year — Economics profile, 2024 — What you specialised in and when you finished.
  • Comparison or credential evaluation, only if verified — Nuffic diploma comparison: compared with HAVO, with its date — Name the published Nuffic diploma comparison, or the credential evaluation you hold, and its date. It gives information about how the diploma compares with Dutch qualifications; it does not decide admission or hiring. If you have neither, leave it blank.

Education

  • Aruba to the Netherlands: Plan the study move, before the move.
  • The US and elsewhere: Different system, same four questions.

Internship / Stage

  • In Aruba: Turn your studies into experience.
  • Coming to Aruba: An Aruba internship starts with a plan.
  • Aruba to the Netherlands: Take your learning across the Kingdom.

Where to start

  • Education Your qualification, explained. Understand what a job asks for, describe what you hold and plan what comes next. Aruban, Dutch, US and other international qualifications are read the same way: what was awarded, by whom, under which system.
  • For candidates Describe your qualification as it was awarded. A name alone tells an employer very little. Say what was awarded, where, under which system, and keep the proof close.
  • Aruba to the Netherlands Plan the study move, before the move. Entry, money and everyday life each have their own decision maker and their own deadlines. Put them on one plan.
  • Internship / Stage From classroom to workplace. An internship joins a study programme to real work. The right route depends on where you study, where you want to work and who has to agree.
  • In Aruba Turn your studies into experience. Start with what your school needs, find a host who can give it to you, agree it in writing, and leave with evidence.
  • Training & Upskilling Where to learn and upskill in Aruba A neutral directory of six training providers in Aruba: field, type of training, what each provider says about credentials, and whether we could verify it. Not a ranking. 8 sources cited · Checked 23 October 2026

  • The US and elsewhere Different system, same four questions. The Netherlands is one destination among many. Start from the credential you will receive and ask: who awards it, is the institution recognised, what is it compared with, and who decides your entry?
  • Coming to Aruba An Aruba internship starts with a plan. Studying abroad? Get school approval, a host and an agreement first. Then the DIMAS residence route, and the practical arrangements, before you book anything.
  • Aruba to the Netherlands Take your learning across the Kingdom. Your school approves it, a funder may help pay for it, and support services can help you settle. Keep the three roles apart.
  • Learning and courses How to build a skill today.
