Position Highlights

Wedding & Events Coordinator. In this dynamic role, you will guide couples and clients through the complete event lifecycle, transforming visions into seamlessly executed ceremonies, banquets, and celebrations across our beachfront resort properties. You will oversee client consultations, coordinate trusted vendor partnerships, manage event budgets, and supervise on-site production to deliver flawless, memorable occasions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult directly with couples and event clients to understand their vision, style preferences, timeline, and budget specifications
  • Plan, organize, and execute wedding ceremonies, reception banquets, rehearsal dinners, and associated resort activities with high precision
  • Liaise and coordinate with external vendors—including florists, caterers, photographers, videographers, and entertainment providers—to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Supervise on-site setup, floral arrangements, décor elements, seating layouts, guest transportation, and accommodation blocks
  • Manage end-to-end event documentation, including client contracts, vendor service agreements, production schedules, banquet event orders (BEOs), and detailed budget tracking
  • Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges or last-minute adjustments swiftly and calmly during planning and live event execution
  • Deliver attentive, consultative guest service throughout the planning process to maintain high client satisfaction and positive resort reviews
  • Stay updated on contemporary wedding trends, Caribbean destination décor concepts, and hospitality best practices to offer creative, tailored solutions
  • Collaborate closely with Food & Beverage, Banquet Operations, Front Office, and Housekeeping teams to align operational support

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:
High school diploma required; an MBO or HBO degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred. Proven background in wedding coordination, banquet catering, or hospitality guest services preferred. Complete fluency (verbal and written) in English, Papiamento, Spanish, and Dutch. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, event planning software, and event budgeting tools. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays based on event schedules. Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift event equipment or décor when necessary. Must hold a Dutch passport or a valid Aruban work permit.
Core Skills:
Wedding and banquet event production, timeline scheduling, and on-site floor management. Vendor contract negotiation, budget administration, and record-keeping. Creative event styling, floor plan design, and theme development.
Soft Skills:
Calm, decisive leadership and quick problem-solving abilities in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail, strong multi-tasking abilities, and genuine dedication to five-star guest service.

Success Metrics

Events and wedding ceremonies are executed punctually, safely, and to exact client specifications and resort standards. High client satisfaction ratings and positive post-event feedback. Accurate budget adherence, seamless vendor coordination, and well-maintained event contracts and BEO documentation.
