Position Highlights

Part-time Sales Associate. In this dynamic, guest-facing retail role, you will be responsible for running daily shop operations independently during assigned shifts at Gianni’s Plaza in Palm Beach. You will welcome international visitors, assist customers with merchandise selection and sizing, process cash and electronic payments, restock shelves, and maintain an inviting, pristine boutique atmosphere across flexible morning (9:30 AM – 1:00 PM) and evening (5:30 PM – 11:00 PM) shifts throughout the week.

Key Responsibilities

Run store operations independently during assigned shifts, ensuring punctual opening, closing, and reliable floor presence
Greet and assist customers warmly, offering personalized product recommendations, sizing guidance, and pricing details
Process sales transactions accurately across point-of-sale systems, accepting cash, credit cards, and digital payments
Balance cash registers and maintain thorough accountability for daily drawer reconciliations
Restock merchandise displays, apparel racks, and souvenir shelves to ensure product lines remain organized, accessible, and visually appealing
Maintain high cleanliness and organizational standards across the sales floor, checkout counter, and storage areas
Learn product details, vendor background, and merchandise features to effectively inform and guide customers
Deliver friendly, attentive customer service, answering questions regarding Palm Beach attractions and local highlights

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

High school diploma (EPB, MAVO, or equivalent). Previous retail sales, boutique, or hospitality customer service experience is a plus, but not required for motivated candidates with strong interpersonal qualities. Strong verbal communication skills in English; conversational proficiency in Spanish, Papiamento, or Dutch is highly valued for engaging diverse island visitors. Basic familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and card payment terminals is an advantage. Schedule flexibility to work rotating shifts between Monday and Sunday, including morning shifts (9:30 AM – 1:00 PM) and evening shifts (5:30 PM – 11:00 PM). Must hold a valid Aruban work permit or Dutch nationality with legal authorization to work in Aruba.

Core Skills:

Independent boutique management, retail customer service, and consultative selling. Cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) operation, and card processing. Visual merchandising, stock replenishment, and floor organization.
