Position Highlights

Houseman. Supporting the room attendants and keeping assigned areas in top condition, your core purpose is to handle the heavier cleaning, deliveries and linen logistics that keep housekeeping running. You will clean floors, carpets, walls, walkways and fixtures, restock linen closets, remove dirty linen, deliver rollaway beds, cribs and fridges and help move furniture.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect the assignment sheet, check and store equipment as instructed, and report damaged or faulty equipment immediately
• Walk through assigned areas to pick up trash and debris, and recycle trash as instructed
• Expedite special guest requests within 15 minutes, including delivering rollaway beds, cribs and fridges
• Clean tables, chairs, counters, headboards, mirrors, furniture and fixtures, polishing woodwork and brass and reporting damage
• Clean walls, ceilings, corridors, pillars, balconies, patios, stairwells, walkways, railings and glass, removing cobwebs, mildew and bird droppings
• Vacuum, shampoo and spot clean carpets, and sweep, mop, scrub and de-gum floors
• Clean light fixtures, vents, A/C filters and grills, ceiling fans, exit signs, ice machines and louvre doors
• Clean restrooms, including toilets, tiles, shower curtains, wash basins and urinals
• Check and restock assigned linen closets, and remove dirty linen from room attendants' carts and linen closets
• Wash windows, clean screens and frames, and hang and align drapes and sheers
• Assist room attendants in moving furniture, inspect patio furniture for breakage, and clean the janitor cart and equipment at the end of the shift

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

High school diploma preferred but not required. Can understand and speak Papiamento; some English is preferred. Strong physical condition. Must hold a Dutch passport or a valid work permit.

Core Skills:

Heavy cleaning of floors, carpets, walls and fixtures. Linen restocking and removal. Guest deliveries of beds, cribs and fridges. Equipment care.

Soft Skills:

Dependable team player who supports room attendants. Responsive to guest requests and physically fit for active work.

Success Metrics

Assigned areas are clean and well maintained, linen closets are stocked, guest deliveries arrive within 15 minutes, and room attendants are well supported.
