Position Highlights
Electrical/Mechanical Specialist. As a technical specialist on the engineering team, your core purpose is to resolve electrical and mechanical issues quickly and safely across the resort. You will respond to guest requests and departmental work orders, troubleshoot problems, and repair, install, replace and test circuits, kitchen and mechanical equipment and appliances.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to and perform repairs on all guest complaints and requests involving electrical, mechanical, wiring and lighting issues
- Complete daily departmental work requests
- Troubleshoot problematic situations as they arise
- Repair, install, replace and test electrical circuits, kitchen and mechanical equipment and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments
- Maintain tools, workspace and equipment in good condition at all times
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
EPI diploma or equivalent with 1 year of experience in a similar position. Can understand and speak English, Dutch and Spanish. Strong physical condition. Must hold a Dutch passport or a valid work permit.
Core Skills:
Knowledge of electrical codes and ordinances. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical motors and equipment. Electrical troubleshooting and testing with appropriate instruments. Installation and repair of circuits and appliances.
Soft Skills:
Calm, methodical problem solver. Service minded when handling guest requests, and reliable in keeping tools and workspace in order.
Success Metrics
Guest complaints and work requests are resolved promptly and safely, electrical and mechanical equipment is tested and working, and all work follows electrical codes.
