Position Highlights

Gardener. In this essential outdoor role, you serve as a guardian of the resort’s first impression, maintaining the pristine and vibrant landscaping that defines our guest experience. You will exercise quiet authority and technical care to ensure our gardens, lawns, and tropical flora are expertly tended. By combining a passion for nature with a disciplined work ethic, you contribute directly to the tranquil environment and operational stability of Caribbean Palm Village Resort.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the immaculate cleanliness and presentation of all resort gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas.
• Perform precise planting, pruning, watering, and fertilization of flowers, trees, and shrubs to resort standards.
• Safely operate and maintain a variety of gardening tools and motorized landscaping equipment.
• Assist with general outdoor maintenance tasks to ensure the property remains safe and visually appealing.
• Monitor plant health and soil conditions, providing proactive care to sustain the resort’s tropical aesthetic.
• Manage green waste and recyclables according to established environmental and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all outdoor areas reflect the resort’s high standards of excellence.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in professional gardening or landscaping is required. Must have the physical stamina and willingness to work actively in various outdoor weather conditions. A valid work permit for Aruba or Dutch passport is essential.

Core Skills:

Basic knowledge of tropical plant care and landscaping techniques. Proficiency in the safe operation of professional gardening equipment. Strong ability to manage outdoor maintenance cycles independently.

Soft Skills:

A genuine passion for outdoor work and property presentation. Must be a reliable, detail-oriented team player with a solution-oriented mindset.
