Summary
The Housekeeping Assistant Manager plays a key role in maintaining the comfort and cleanliness of Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort. This role supervises daily housekeeping operations, ensures standards are consistently achieved, and supports team members to create an exceptional guest experience. In addition to supervising staff, the position also collaborates with the Maintenance team on Preventive Maintenance (PM) and supports environmental initiatives across the resort.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and support Room Attendants, Housemen, and Laundry Attendants.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces for cleanliness and quality standards.
- Assist with scheduling, task assignments, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with Maintenance team to coordinate and monitor Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.
- Oversee supply inventory and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Support guest service by responding promptly to requests and resolving housekeeping concerns.
- Promote and enforce environmental and sustainability practices in daily operations.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping within a hotel or resort environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and train a multicultural team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in English; Dutch, Spanish, or Papiamento is a plus.
- Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
