Position Highlights
Food & Beverage Runner. In this essential role, you serve as the critical link between the kitchen and the dining room. Your core purpose is to ensure that every culinary creation reaches our guests with precision, speed, and professional poise, maintaining the high standards of boutique service that define the Amsterdam Manor experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen or bar to guest tables promptly and accurately.
- Verify that every dish meets the resort’s plating and garnishing standards before it leaves the pass.
- Support the server team by clearing tables, restocking service stations, and assisting with general table maintenance.
- Communicate guest requests or feedback clearly and efficiently back to the culinary or bar teams.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the service pass and common dining areas.
- Assist with the set-up and breakdown of dining spaces to ensure operational readiness for every shift.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene protocols are strictly followed during the transport of items.
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant or luxury resort environment is preferred. Full fluency in English; knowledge of Papiamento, Dutch, or Spanish is highly valued. Physical stamina to stand and move quickly throughout a full shift in a warm environment.
Core Skills:
Basic understanding of food safety and service protocols. Strong multitasking abilities and a high level of situational awareness.
Soft Skills:
Naturally friendly and energetic demeanor. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the “quiet authority” to manage tasks effectively during peak service hours.
Success Metrics
Demonstrated consistency in the speed and accuracy of order delivery. Positive feedback from the server and kitchen teams regarding support and communication. Sustained high cleanliness and organization standards in all service transition areas.
