Position Highlights
Kitchen Mechanic. As the specialist behind the resort kitchens' equipment, your core purpose is to keep every electrical and mechanical kitchen appliance working safely and reliably. You will repair and maintain equipment, rebuild motors, rewire electrical systems, lubricate moving parts and carry out welding, keeping your tools and workspace in good order.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the proper functioning of electrical kitchen equipment
- Repair and maintain kitchen equipment
- Dismantle motors and repair or replace defective parts
- Rewire electrical systems and repair or replace electrical accessories
- Lubricate moving parts
- Carry out welding work
- Maintain tools, workspace and equipment in good condition at all times
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
EPB diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience in a similar position. Can understand and speak English, Dutch and Spanish. Strong physical condition. Must hold a Dutch passport or a valid work permit.
Core Skills:
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical motors and equipment. Knowledge of electrical codes and ordinances. Motor repair, rewiring and welding. Preventive care of kitchen equipment.
Soft Skills:
Methodical problem solver with strong attention to detail. Reliable and organized, keeping tools and workspace in good condition.
Success Metrics
Kitchen equipment stays in good working order with minimal downtime, repairs are completed safely and in line with electrical codes, and tools and workspace are consistently well maintained.
