Position Highlights

Food & Beverage Server. As a key ambassador of our culinary team, you are responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience to our local and international guests. Your core purpose is to deliver warm, professional service while ensuring that every guest interaction reflects the high standards and authentic island hospitality associated with the Divi brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed information on daily specials and beverage pairings.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them promptly into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Deliver orders to tables with precision, ensuring proper presentation and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including clearing tables and resetting stations for new arrivals.
• Anticipate guest needs throughout their meal, offering refills and addressing requests with professional poise.
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure a seamless flow of service during high-volume periods.
• Process guest payments accurately and handle all financial transactions with integrity.
• Perform necessary side-work duties, such as polishing silverware and restocking condiments, to support overall team efficiency.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant or luxury resort setting is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Full fluency in English; knowledge of Papiamento, Dutch, or Spanish is highly valued for our diverse guest environment. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Core Skills:

Proficiency with POS systems and standard hospitality service protocols. Strong physical stamina for standing and walking throughout full shifts. Excellent multitasking and time-management abilities.

Soft Skills:

Naturally friendly and optimistic demeanor. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain a calm and professional presence under pressure.

Success Metrics

Consistently high guest satisfaction scores and positive mentions in dining reviews. Demonstrated accuracy in order entry and financial transactions. Maintained high efficiency in table turnover while upholding service quality standards.
