Position Highlights

Bartender. As a passionate hospitality professional, your core purpose is to deliver exceptional beverage service by preparing drinks accurately and maintaining a welcoming, well-stocked bar environment. You will utilize your suggestive selling skills, uphold strict safety and responsible service guidelines, and ensure every guest enjoys a premium experience at the resort.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare all drinks according to recipes and consistently follow established garnishes for cocktails
• Provide responsible alcoholic beverage service and follow alcohol awareness guidelines for dealing with intoxicated guests
• Familiarize yourself with cocktail preparation terminology, call procedures, and abbreviations for liquor orders
• Check and maintain stock levels, including juices, mixers, soft drinks, beer, liquor, wine, and ensure ample ice for anticipated business
• Check beverage coupons for guests who are not on the all-inclusive plan and handle bottle transfers safely
• Follow all checklist points, including setting up liquor, checking glassware, and preparing napkins and/or coasters
• Clean the entire bar area as you go, empty the trash, and securely close the bar
• Check the par list to determine shortages for ordering, and regularly inspect the bar, the environment, and the equipment
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required to support beverage operations

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

A MAVO Highschool Diploma and a Bartender Diploma are required. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Bartender and must be 25 years of age and up. You must possess a valid Health card and hold a Dutch Passport or a valid work permit.

Core Skills:

Fluency in English, Spanish, and Dutch is required. Candidates must possess great computer skills and have great suggestive (up)selling skills. A strong ability to follow food safety and HACCP guidelines is mandatory.

Soft Skills:

Passionate about the bartending field and highly service-oriented. Attentive, organized, and capable of maintaining a clean and safe environment during busy shifts.

Beverages are consistently prepared to exact recipe and garnish standards, resulting in high guest satisfaction. The bar operates efficiently with accurate stock management, strict adherence to HACCP guidelines, and responsible alcohol service protocols always maintained.
