Position Highlights
Public Relations & Communications Manager. As the voice of one of the world's leading luxury resorts, your core purpose is to turn meaningful guest moments into stories that inspire future guests, strengthen relationships and reinforce Bucuti & Tara's reputation. You will lead the resort's storytelling strategy and public relations across international and local markets, from press releases and media relations to hosting journalists and representing the resort worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop compelling stories that strengthen Bucuti & Tara's global reputation
- Write press releases, articles, blogs, newsletters, speeches, website copy and other brand communications
- Build and nurture relationships with international media, journalists, editors, influencers and luxury travel partners
- Secure earned media coverage in leading travel, luxury, wellness, sustainability and lifestyle publications
- Host journalists, influencers, VIP guests and trade partners during on-property visits
- Represent Bucuti & Tara at international trade shows, sales missions, industry events and community engagements
- Lead the resort's organic social media storytelling and content creation
- Protect and strengthen the resort's distinctive brand voice across every communication
- Support award submissions and promote industry recognitions worldwide
- Collaborate closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager on a consistent brand experience across every channel
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Hospitality or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in public relations, communications, journalism, content creation or luxury hospitality, with demonstrated success in media relations and earned coverage. Experience hosting media, VIP guests or industry partners is highly desirable, and representing a brand at trade shows or events is an advantage. Fluent English required; Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch or Papiamento are highly valued. A portfolio of work samples is required. Pre-employment drug screening applies.
Core Skills:
Outstanding writing and editing, adapting tone for different audiences. Media relations and earned media. Content creation across multiple channels, including social media. Affinity with luxury travel, wellness, sustainability and romance brands is strongly preferred.
Soft Skills:
Gifted storyteller who is charismatic, engaging and confident with new people. Curious, creative, highly organized and proactive, with exceptional attention to detail, working independently and across departments as a warm, professional brand ambassador.
