Position Highlights
Kitchen Mechanic. In this specialized technical role, you serve as a vital guardian of our culinary infrastructure. Your core purpose is to ensure the continuous operational stability of all industrial kitchen facilities, managing complex electrical and mechanical systems with a calm and confident professional presence. By executing precise repairs and preventative maintenance, you enable our culinary teams to deliver world-class dining experiences without interruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of industrial kitchen equipment and mechanical motors.
- Ensure all technical work complies with established electrical codes and local ordinances.
- Maintain all professional tools, workspaces, and equipment in excellent condition at all times.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical and mechanical systems to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Collaborate with the engineering and culinary departments to prioritize urgent repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
- Execute preventative maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of resort assets and ensure peak performance.
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
An EPB Diploma or equivalent technical qualification is required, alongside a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar technical position. Must be in strong physical condition to meet the manual demands of the role. A Dutch passport or a valid work permit is required.
Core Skills:
Advanced knowledge of electrical/mechanical motors, equipment, and related ordinances. Professional fluency in English, Dutch, and Spanish.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and a service-minded approach. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe, organized technical environment.
Success Metrics
Excellence in this role is demonstrated by the high reliability and uptime of all culinary equipment across the resort. Success is measured by the timely completion of repair requests, the thoroughness of preventative maintenance records, and the consistent adherence to safety and electrical standards within our kitchen facilities.
