Position Highlights
Front Desk Agent / Night Audit Reliever. Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager and Front Desk Assistant Manager, this dual-responsibility role combines day-to-day guest reception with night audit financial closing procedures. You will deliver attentive front-desk service, process guest check-ins and check-outs, and perform end-of-day financial auditing to summarize and balance the resort’s daily revenue and accounting records.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet, register, and check in arriving guests, assign accommodations, and fulfill special room requests whenever possible
- Perform smooth guest check-in and check-out procedures, settle folios, and handle account balances
- Execute the Property Management System (PMS / RDP) end-of-day closing and night audit process
- Audit front office accounting records, verify account postings, and summarize daily cash, check, and credit card transactions
- Post room charges, room taxes, guest vouchers, and any pending transactions not processed during day shifts
- Strictly adhere to cash handling, credit processing, and check-cashing policies, balancing shift cash totals against daily cash reports
- Handle guest inquiries, service requests, and complaints efficiently, courteously, and with professional discretion
- Coordinate room status updates closely with the Housekeeping team regarding check-outs, late arrivals, special requests, and day-use rooms
- Provide limited concierge support during weekend shifts, answering guest questions regarding dining, entertainment, shopping, and island directions
- Apply professional front office telephone etiquette, maintain daily guest logs, and communicate handover notes via email and group logs for the night audit team
- Apply suggestive selling techniques to promote room upgrades, packages, and on-site resort services
- Maintain a tidy front desk area and adhere strictly to resort safety, emergency, and environmental Green policies (reduce, reuse, recycle, and restore)
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
EPI diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field. Minimum of one year of experience in a front desk, night audit, or guest service position is desirable. Fluency in English, Spanish, Dutch, and Papiamento (verbal comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing). Ability to work flexible schedules, including evening shifts, weekends, holidays, and night audit relief shifts. Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shift operations. Maintain professional grooming standards, wear the designated uniform, and project a polished appearance. Applicants must hold valid legal authorization to work in Aruba.
Core Skills:
Front office PMS operations (experience with RDP or similar property management platforms). End-of-day financial auditing, accounting reconciliation, balancing, and cash management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel). Knowledge of hospitality credit policies, suggestive upselling, and front-of-house telephone etiquette.

Warm, articulate customer service orientation with active listening skills across diverse cultures. High motivation, self-confidence, and a cooperative team-first mindset. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and composure under pressure.
Success Metrics
Daily night audit reports and PMS account postings are balanced with zero discrepancies. Guest arrivals, departures, and cashiering transactions are executed accurately and in a timely manner. Interdepartmental handovers with Housekeeping and incoming shifts are managed smoothly with up-to-date room status tracking.
