Position Highlights
Guest Service Technician. As the resort's first responder for in-room repairs, your core purpose is to keep guest rooms and common facilities comfortable, safe and fully working. You will handle fixtures and fittings, lighting, AC and drainage issues, locks and keys, smoke detectors and small installations, resolving requests quickly and with a service-minded attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair all outside parts and fixtures and fittings inside the guest rooms
- Service pipes, wiring and fittings for AC/heating systems and drains
- Maintain power and lighting, replacing bulbs and fluorescent starters
- Maintain installed smoke detectors, including replacing batteries where applicable
- Service appliances, common facilities and open areas
- Replace lost keys and change locks
- Repair doors and fixtures, including adjustments for new carpets
- Clear blocked waste pipes and toilets
- Fill minor cracks or holes in wall plaster
- Put up televisions
Requirements, Skills & Traits
Requirements:
EPB diploma. Maintenance experience is preferred but not required. Can understand and speak Papiamento and English. Strong physical condition. Must hold a Dutch passport or a valid work permit.
Core Skills:
Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and masonry skills. Lock and key replacement. Minor wall and fixture repairs. Servicing appliances and AC/heating fittings.
Soft Skills:
Service oriented, courteous and discreet when working in and around guest rooms. Practical problem solver who works efficiently and reliably.
Success Metrics
Guest repair requests are resolved promptly and correctly, rooms and common areas stay fully functional, and safety items such as smoke detectors and locks are always in working order.
