Position Highlights

As a Cook, you are a core member of our culinary team. Your primary purpose is to prepare and execute high-quality dishes according to established recipes, ensuring that every guest enjoys a consistent and memorable dining experience across our resort’s diverse culinary outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and manage food ingredients and supplies to ensure kitchen readiness for daily service.
• Execute the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of a wide variety of foods, including meats, soups, and salads, following prescribed recipes and techniques.
• Utilize a full range of cooking methods to slice, grind, and prepare ingredients according to production schedules.
• Plate and display dishes, including meats, vegetables, and desserts, with a high level of precision and aesthetic appeal.
• Manage the setup, breakdown, and cleaning of buffet stations and kitchen work areas to maintain a sanitary and efficient environment.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety and HACCP guidelines throughout all stages of food handling and preparation.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

EPI Culinary Diploma or equivalent educational background. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen environment. Dutch Passport or a valid work permit. Valid Health Card. Ability to work a rotating schedule including different shifts.

Core Skills:

Proficiency in multilingual communication (English and Spanish). Mastery of diverse cooking methods and recipe execution. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

Soft Skills:

Friendly and professional personality. Excellent multitasking abilities in high-pressure environments. Service-minded approach with a commitment to culinary excellence.

Success Metrics

Consistent achievement of recipe accuracy and presentation standards. Maintained high scores on kitchen health and safety audits. Seamless coordination with the kitchen team during high-volume service and buffet operations.
