Position Highlights

Reservation Agent [Temporary position]. In this vital guest-facing role, you serve as the critical first point of contact for guests planning their stay at our resort. Your core purpose is to process reservations, handle inquiries, and ensure a seamless booking process via phone, email, and online channels. By managing the reservation system with a calm, confident, and understated professional presence, you set the tone for an exceptional guest journey and contribute directly to the revenue optimization and operational stability of the resort during this temporary assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle incoming reservation requests via phone, email, and online channels in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide accurate information on room types, rates, packages, and availability to assist guests in selecting ideal accommodations.
• Process, modify, and confirm reservations with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Support revenue optimization by thoughtfully upselling room categories, packages, and add-ons.
• Respond to guest inquiries and special requests efficiently, ensuring a smooth pre-arrival experience.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of resort offerings, promotions, and policies.
• Ensure all reservation details are correctly entered into the system and communicated to relevant operational departments.
• Follow and promote the resort’s environmental and sustainability policies.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

EPI Hospitality Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent. Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is required.

Core Skills:

Full fluency in English, Dutch, Papiamento, and Spanish. Solid computer skills and a strong foundational knowledge of hospitality operations and guest service principles.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional communication and customer service skills. Detail-oriented and organized, with a professional and caring approach to handling guest concerns and requests.

Success Metrics

Excellence in this role is demonstrated by high accuracy in booking records and seamless guest communication from the initial inquiry to arrival. Success is measured by your ability to manage reservations efficiently, optimize revenue through appropriate upselling, and contribute to the operational stability and welcoming atmosphere of the team.
