Position Highlights

Accounting Manager. As the lead of the accounting function, your core purpose is to keep the resort’s financial records accurate, timely, and well controlled. You will supervise the full accounting cycle, review cash, bank and general ledger activity, deliver month-end closing and financial reporting in line with IFRS, and work to strengthen internal controls and accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the full accounting cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and fixed asset management
• Review cash and bank transactions and general ledger reconciliations
• Lead the month-end closing process and prepare accurate, timely financial reports
• Apply accounting standards (IFRS) consistently across all records and reports
• Support external audits, preparing documentation and following up on findings
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes
• Lead and guide the accounting team, maintaining clear communication with management and other departments

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financial Administration. Relevant accounting experience supervising the full accounting cycle (AR, AP, inventory, and fixed asset management). Knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS). Experience reviewing cash and bank transactions, GL reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting, as well as supporting external audits. Excellent verbal and written communication in English, Spanish, and Papiamento. Must hold a Dutch passport or a valid Aruban work permit.

Core Skills:

Full-cycle accounting and general ledger reconciliation. Month-end closing and IFRS financial reporting. Internal controls and external audit support. Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and Microsoft Excel.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Clear, professional communication in English, Spanish, and Papiamento.

Success Metrics

Month-end closing is completed on schedule, with reconciled bank and general ledger accounts and accurate financial reports. External audits run smoothly with well-prepared documentation. Internal controls and accounting processes become stronger and more efficient over time, and the accounting team works with clarity and consistency.
