Skill levels
What Database Management looks like at each level
Pick the level you can show today, from what you can do on your own.
Level 1
Foundational
Routine tasks, with guidance when things change.
You can do familiar tasks and you understand the basic ideas. When a task varies or gets difficult you ask for help.
Level 2
Intermediate
Common tasks on your own, help only for the hard ones.
You handle everyday work independently and cope with moderate variation. You need support only occasionally, in difficult situations.
Level 3
Advanced
Complex or unfamiliar situations, with little guidance.
You use judgement in new situations, fix problems at their cause, improve how the work is done and help others do it well.
These are the general levels used for every skill. Examples specific to Database Management have not been written yet.
If you are looking for work
For candidates
Name the database systems (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Access) and what you did: design, queries, backups, performance tuning. A small project or query sample you can share helps.
If you are hiring
For employers
Name the database and the main tasks. A short SQL exercise is a fair, quick test.
How matching works
Matching is most reliable when both the profile and job listing use this same skill and any expected proficiency is set accurately.
