Position Highlights

Driver. In this essential guest-facing and logistical role, you will provide safe, punctual, and courteous passenger transportation between resort hotels, tour departure points, and activity hubs across Aruba. You will manage daily vehicle pre-trip inspections, assist guests with boarding and gear handling, and serve as an upbeat, professional ambassador of Delphi Watersports throughout each journey.

Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, comfortable, and timely transportation for guests and team members between resort properties, activity locations, and excursion meeting points across Aruba
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, monitoring fuel levels, tire pressure, fluids, brakes, and overall vehicle condition
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and presentable vehicle interior and exterior at all times
Assist guests warmly with boarding, disembarking, luggage, and personal excursion equipment
Provide friendly customer service by sharing accurate island information, activity schedules, and safety instructions with passengers
Adhere strictly to local Aruban traffic regulations, road safety guidelines, and company transportation protocols
Coordinate pickup and drop-off timelines closely with the dispatch and operations team to ensure smooth excursion workflows
Promptly report any mechanical concerns, vehicle maintenance requirements, or schedule delays to management

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

High school diploma (EPB or MAVO). Valid Aruban Driver’s License (Category B or higher; passenger transport endorsement preferred) with a clean driving record. Minimum of 2 years of professional driving or passenger transport experience, preferably within the Aruban tourism or hospitality sector. Multilingual communication skills with fluency in English and Papiamento; proficiency in Spanish or Dutch is an asset. Comprehensive knowledge of Aruban roadways, hotel locations, and key island landmarks. Flexibility to work a variable schedule including weekends and public holidays. Must hold valid legal authorization to work in Aruba.

Core Skills:

Defensive and safe driving techniques, route planning, and schedule management. Basic vehicle upkeep, pre-trip safety checks, and equipment handling. Knowledge of local transport regulations and passenger safety standards.

Soft Skills:

Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious with high personal accountability. Warm, polite, and service-oriented demeanor. Composed, patient, and resourceful when navigating peak traffic conditions or assisting diverse international guests.

Success Metrics

Guest pickups, transfers, and drop-offs are executed punctually and with zero road safety incidents. Transport vehicles remain clean, fully fueled, and mechanically sound on a daily basis. Positive guest feedback reflecting courteous, friendly, and helpful passenger service.
