Responsibilities

Sews anything needed by any department of hotel such as table napkins, table skirts, new uniforms, etc.
Mend uniforms and linen as required.
Assign uniforms to new employees and log in uniform log book according to procedures.
Make sure linen and uniforms are always in order and in good repair.
Replace uniforms according to procedures.
Assist or relieves Linen Attendant with duties when needed.
Adjust and hem employee uniforms.
Handles all telephone calls and delegate messages.
Handle guest inquiries and requests within 15 minutes.
Mends or re-upholsters chair cushions.
Make sure that there are sufficient clean pillows available at all times.
Recover soiled pillows when necessary.
Handle guest request for mending of garments.
Inspect uniforms for mending, loose buttons, tears, etc. on a daily basis.
Check uniforms inventory and report to Housekeeping manager when to reorder.

Requirements & Qualifications

EPB Diploma is preferred but not required
Must be a Certified Seamstress or has a minimum of 3 years of experience in the position
Preferably 25 years and older
Can understand and speak Papiamento and Spanish. English and Dutch is preferred.
Has a Dutch Passport or a valid work permit
