Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
About the job
Responsible for performing multiple repair and maintenance tasks throughout the resort in accordance with Casa del Mar (CDM) policies and guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to: electrical, carpentry, painting, refrigeration, plumbing, gas systems, filter systems, and general facility repairs as well as assisting in property preventive and inspection tasks. Provides prompt and courteous service to guests.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Spanish, and Papiamento. Knowledge of Dutch is preferred.
- Display engineering operations skills and strong general mechanical ability such as knowledge of all types of basic mechanical equipment, refrigeration equipment, plumbing and electrical systems, maintenance of records of power, water, and fuel consumption.
- Must possess basic computational ability, computer skills, and applicable maintenance protocols.
- Must have the ability to understand guests’ needs and work cohesively with coworkers as part of the team.
- Must be able to follow instructions, work independently and be detail oriented.
Education & Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or engineering.
