Why you will meet it

If you study in the Netherlands or an employer asks how your diploma compares, Nuffic's comparison is the reference.

Good to know before you go

  • A Nuffic comparison gives information; it does not decide admission or hiring.

Career Hub pages that rely on Nuffic

  • Your qualification, explained. Understand what a job asks for, describe what you hold and plan what comes next. Aruban, Dutch, US and other international qualifications are read the same way: what was awarded, by whom, under which system.
  • Ask for the qualification the role needs. A requirement is clearest when it names the work, the level, the field and what else you will accept. Candidates may hold Aruban, Dutch, US or other qualifications; write for all of them.
  • Describe your qualification as it was awarded. A name alone tells an employer very little. Say what was awarded, where, under which system, and keep the proof close.
  • Plan the study move, before the move. Entry, money and everyday life each have their own decision maker and their own deadlines. Put them on one plan.
  • Different system, same four questions. The Netherlands is one destination among many. Start from the credential you will receive and ask: who awards it, is the institution recognised, what is it compared with, and who decides your entry?
