Position Highlights

Maintenance Man. In this essential technical role, you serve as a key guardian of our resort’s physical environment. Your core purpose is to ensure that all guest facilities and back-of-house equipment remain in peak functional condition. By managing routine repairs and preventative maintenance with a calm, confident, and understated professional presence, you support the seamless flow of resort operations and contribute directly to the comfort and safety of our international guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of routine preventive maintenance tasks, including replacing locks, light bulbs, and hardware.
• Execute various plumbing repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal facility function.
• Conduct routine maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment, including filter changes.
• Perform professional repairs on small appliances such as fans, vacuum cleaners, and microwave ovens.
• Maintain a high level of familiarity with the property’s fire and emergency safety programs.
• Respond promptly to departmental work requests to maintain the high standards of the Divi brand.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

EPB Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification. Strong physical condition to manage the active nature of resort maintenance. Ability to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays. Must possess a Dutch Passport or a valid work permit for Aruba.

Core Skills:

Basic proficiency in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and masonry skills. Understanding of HVAC maintenance and small appliance repair. Multilingual capabilities in English and Spanish.

Soft Skills:

A customer-oriented mindset with a focus on service excellence. Professional reliability and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a team environment.

Success Metrics

Excellence in this role is demonstrated by the rapid and accurate resolution of maintenance requests and the consistent reliability of resort facilities. Success is measured by adherence to safety protocols, the pristine condition of guest accommodations, and the ability to prevent operational downtime through diligent preventative care.
