Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Handle guest inquiries timely and efficiently
Set up pool furniture around the pool and assist guest with chairs when required on the beach
Stack lounge chairs when not in use
Sweep the entire pool deck and pay special attention to where the birds and iguanas leave droppings, and clean properly
Sweep and clean the walkway between pool and beach and sweep the beach showers
Wash and/or hose down pool furniture
Ensure that umbrellas are open and secure
Empty trash cans on pool area and beach daily
Always keep the pool area clean
Pick up all towels, floats, toys, ect. which have been left in/around the pool beach area and put them in the activities booth for the morning shift
Vacuum the pool and scrub tiles to remove the scum. Clean the inside of skimmer to remove dirt, ect. With net skim water in the pool to remove leaves. Shine the handles of the steps.
Take chemical readings of the pool(s) at the stipulated time(s)
Check if all items needed are there and pick up requisition from Supervisor if required. Ensure all chemicals are correct. Use chemicals according to safety standards. Treat water with appropriate chemicals as needed.
Inspect all equipment in pump room daily
Wash and maintain pool filters
Any other reasonable duties as required

Work Area

The workstation for this position is the pool and beach area

EPB education or equivalent
Can speak and has a good understanding of English, Spanish, Dutch and Papiamento
Previous experience as a Pool Attendant is an added advantage
Has a Dutch Passport or a valid work permit
