Position Highlights

Guest Service Technician. In this vital operational role, you serve as a key resource for maintaining the technical integrity and comfort of our guest accommodations. Your core purpose is to provide swift, professional solutions to mechanical, electrical, and aesthetic issues within guest rooms and shared facilities. By approaching each task with quiet authority and a service-oriented mindset, you ensure our guests enjoy a seamless and uninterrupted stay, contributing directly to the stability and reputation of the resort.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair in-room fixtures, fittings, doors, and furniture to ensure pristine room presentations.
• Perform basic electrical work, including replacing bulbs, fluorescent starters, and maintaining power and lighting systems.
• Execute essential plumbing tasks, such as clearing blocked waste pipes and repairing drains.
• Service and adjust AC/heating system components to maintain optimal climate control.
• Maintain and replace safety equipment, including smoke detectors and battery systems.
• Repair minor structural damage, including filling wall cracks and executing basic masonry or carpentry.
• Install appliances and electronics, including mounting televisions in guest accommodations.
• Manage lock changes and key replacements securely and efficiently.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

EPB Diploma. Candidates must possess a Dutch Passport or a valid work permit for Aruba. A strong physical condition is necessary to meet the physical demands of daily maintenance tasks.

Core Skills:

Basic expertise in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and masonry work. Ability to understand and speak both English and Papiamento. Previous maintenance experience is preferred but not required.

Soft Skills:

A service-oriented, friendly personality with strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities. Capable of communicating professionally with guests while working efficiently to resolve technical issues.

Success Metrics

Excellence in this role is demonstrated by the timely and effective resolution of guest service repair requests. Success is measured by your ability to maintain a proactive approach to room maintenance, strict adherence to safety protocols, and ensuring that all technical interventions uphold the high standards of comfort expected at Divi Resorts.
